Thumb Printing
Thumb Printing is an interesting and fun activity. My children always enjoy this activity. The teacher or facilitator should be organized, well-planned, and well-prepared for this activity.
Things required:
a)A4 size paper
b)Album activity book
b) Draw any fruit or vegetables of your choice[ here i draw grapes] outline
c)Paint [ green color ]
d)Palette and
e)water.
How to do:
Take green color paint, apply the color over the thumb of the child,[use the left hand], and let the child press his/her thumb over the drawing. Ensure the child washes his thumb properly and keeps it aside for the drawing to dry. Subsequently, outline with a black sketch in his/her drawing. The child will be on cloud nine. Educate the child about the benefits of eating fruits.
Learning Outcome:
Fun Activities help the kids to develop fine motor skills and invariably enhance pre-writing skills. They enjoy and become cheerful. Also, use your imagination and creativity for thumbprinting. You can do flowers and chicks using thumb printing.
